My name is Massimo Manunza, and I was born in Cagliari in 1970. Since my childhood, I have nurtured a profound passion for geology and the art of shaping the earth into everyday objects.

Following my graduation as a land surveyor, I pursued further studies in Geological Sciences at the university level.

However, just before completing my degree, I made the pivotal decision to start a family and pursue a career in business.

Despite achieving professional success and various milestones, the rapid pace of my career brought significant mental and physical stress, ultimately resulting in burnout. This experience compelled me to reflect on my creative aspirations.

It was during this period that I discovered the therapeutic potential of working with clay.

Through encounters with local and international artists, I delved deeper into the world of pottery, exploring techniques passed down through generations from diverse cultures worldwide.

This journey inspired me to establish “La Via dell’Argilla” (The Way of Clay), a space where creativity seamlessly intertwines with the earth to produce unique works of art.

” The form visually impacts and insinuates itself into you, surpassing the idea of immediate practical use.

Every creation is characterized by the beauty of irregularity, because symmetrical perfection is rare in nature.”
